Follow on Google News | The "Back To Bethlehem" Community Event is BackThe 27-Year Valley Christmas Tradition Continues to Thrill Families
“Back to Bethlehem” is unique in that it's more than a stop-and-look "living nativity," and yet it's not a play either. Guests travel "back in time" and interact with characters from the Christmas story. The characters you’d expect to see are there: shepherds, a young couple with a new baby, and mysterious wise men. But there’s also craftspeople who are showing off their wares such as potters and basketweavers, Roman centurians out to "tax" you, and dozens of more villagers in the ancient town with which to interact. Angels appear, guests join in a traditonal dance, and the kids pet the animals such as sheep, goats, a donkey and camel. "We are very excited to again offer a chance for families to experience the first Christmas in this fun re-creation. This has become a holiday tradition for many families and the feedback we receive has been tremendous," "Back to Bethlehem" is being held in Chatsworth on the grounds of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church on December 14, 15, 20, 21, 22. Guests can come and go anytime between 7 and 9 pm. Admission is $3 per person with a maximum of $12 for immediate family. All proceeds go to cover the event's expenses. "Back to Bethlehem" is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit organization and operates with an entirely volunteer staff. More information and details are available at GoBackToBethlehem.com. End
