MAGICA ANALYTICA- The Fusion of Magic and Mathematics for magicians for beginners to professionals

NEW YORK - Nov. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- New York City -- Larry Barnowsky offers professional and amateur magicians 19 original magical mysteries in his fifth book of magic, Magica Analytica. Many of the self-working tricks in the book are based on ancient mathematical principles which allow the magician to know the unknowable, solve the unsolvable, and control the outcome of random events.

The math behind the magic in Magica Analytica equips magicians to make seemingly impossible predictions, yet knowledge of mathematics is not necessary to perform any of the tricks.

Barnowsky provides his own script for each innovative routine. The 104-page book includes 150 color photographs illustrating the maneuvers and mathematical principles behind the magic. Every chapter gives detailed step-by-step instructions to achieve the effect with props such as cards, coins, rings, and marbles.

Reviews for Magica Analytica from the largest magic website, The Magic Café, say the book “is highly recommended,” and “belongs on everyone’s magic book shelf.”

Barnowsky, who also has a Master’s Degree in mathematics, has combined the mysteries of number analysis with the secrets of magicians to invent original tricks such as “Rings of Alexandria,” “Match Point,” “The 27 Trick,” and “Euler’s Force.” In “The Arch of Sunzi,” while the magician’s back is turned, a spectator places cards in each of his own pockets, yet the performer correctly deduces the number in each pocket even though the spectator has no idea how many there were to start.

For the magician who desires to understand the controlling mathematical principles underlying the stunning predictions, Barnowsky clearly explains the math that empowers the magic effect at the end of each chapter.

Most of the effects are rated at a basic level of difficulty. Four of the tricks in Magica Analytica employ some sleight-of-hand, but like the mathematical tricks, they are taught step-by step and not difficult to master.

A diagnostic and interventional radiologist at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, N.Y., Dr. Barnowsky says, “Magic, mathematics, and medicine all have their hidden surprises.  Magica Analytica uncovers the anatomy of ageless magical mathematical secrets.”

Barnowsky’s other magic books, Counting on Deception, The Book of Destiny, Kingdom of the Red, and 21st Century Coin Mechanics , present his earlier effects and unique magical apparatus that he invented.  Barnowsky was 11 years old when he discovered his grandfather’s trunk of magic apparatus in his attic, and for more than fifty years since, he has been performing and creating magic effects and teaching generation of magicians through his books.

Magica Analytica is available at www.barnowskymagic.com for $29.50
