Seattle Conference Winter 2014

PORTLAND, Ore. - Nov. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- It’s Fall! Tis’ the season of traveling and conferences. The weekend before Thanksgiving, our office attended a conference in Seattle. Saturday was fun-filled; we spent the evening with other northwest businesses competing in a charity dodge ball tournament. We raised over $1,000 for Operation Smile, a foundation we partner with to aid individuals from cleft lip, in less fortunate countries. It was amazing to see the passion so many people had to spend their Saturday night raising donations for a cause that will help change lives of people we all will never meet. What was even cooler was the Iconic team took home the championship trophy!

The excitement didn’t end there. Sunday morning, businesses from all over the region (even Canada eh!) reconvened to learn more about the size and scope of the outsourced sales and marketing industry. It provided more perspective for our Junior Account Representatives on how to successfully take advantage of our management-training program. The opening session discussed how to take long-term goals even further. I learned how to evolve in this industry and how crucial it is to have goals so huge that make my current goals seem miniscule. In order to reach these elevated goals, the importance to be a “Learn it all, and not a know it all” was stressed. In a business where on a daily basis I am learning and growing, I feel it’s important to start taking time each week to reflect. While the members of our team have such high standards and large aspirations, we are constantly focused on the future. However, if we take time to look back and reflect on the progress we’ve made, along with the areas we need to improve on, we can address how to take action. The conference definitely made an impact on our firm that will propel our office to opening our next location in early 2015.
