Driver Collect: A Breakthrough Offering To Revolutionize The Way People Share Rides In Britain

Dubbed Driver Collect, this new specialized service launched by the company is fine tuned to cater to both ends of the market: drivers and riders. It simplifies things for both parties by constantly searching for the best available matches on any given route.

The modus operandi is fairly simple, claims the official Driver Collect website (http://drivercollect.com/home). Users are required to log in to the website and enter their requirements. Once fetched with the data, the system starts searching for potential rides for each individual user.

The moment potential matches are found, the website clubs together the top 5 amongst them to the user’s view list. In the extremely unlikely event that the system should fail to find an immediate match, it keeps searching in the background until the issue is resolved.

Following this, all parties are put in touch so they can bid, negotiate and reach a unanimous decision with regard to the specifics of the ride.

“We take a series of adequate security measures to ensure a safe ride for all,” says Mr. Jerome Thircuir, CEO in Forward Plane.

“In addition to keeping a detailed record of the ride, we also make sure that the credit card info submitted by the users can be traced back to their real identity in case the need arises,” Mr. Thircuir adds.

However, Driver Collective does not store users’ credit card and other sensitive information, the company website clarifies.

The service is free for riders, which means they aren’t required paying any extra surcharges other than the cab fee. A small deposit is charged to discourage potential abuse of the service, but it is immediately refunded once the riders reach their respective destinations.  Drivers are charged 12 per cent (10 per cent + VAT) of the agreed fare.

Drivers Collect also offers a mini message system that allows users to communicate with each other whenever required.
