CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Urban Author's Symposium convenes authors, content creators, and literary agents for the purpose of getting your book or other content out in one day!   This intimate group of writers share story ideas, advice, lessons learned, and more while making a contribution to the class of 2014 book, entitled "Why Passion, Why Write?"

In addition to the passionate word counts accumulated by each student (kids included), there are scheduled workshops designed to summon the muse and kick you into gear and on the road to writer's heaven.  You can look forward to these workshops:

1.  How to Write a Book in 1-Day

2.  Social Media Marketing 101

3.  The Self-Publishing Blueprint

During the Networking Luncheon, there's a keynote address by Sonya Cato Howard, and a Literary Agent Speed Pitch Session.  Here's where authors, or would be authors pitch their ideas to the folks who can and will hold their hand and lead them to the next level in publishing.

Sonya Cato Howard is a speaker, writer, and entrepreneur considered and "empowerment strategist" out of Atlanta, GA.    Ms. Howard is founder of Busy Writing, Inc., which has a focus to help others be empowered for change, have a positive self image, and break through the bondage of pain.

Her program, Pathways to Freedom's mission is to is to help people to overcome their hurt, move past their pain, to gain inner freedom. Clients experience feelings of peace, freedom, forgiveness, acceptance, and happiness; struggling less with low self-esteem, shame, guilt, depression, secrecy, and anger.
