British Airways to speak at CTC AVIATION Careers Event - 6 December 2014

Nov. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- CTC Aviation has announced that Lindsay Craig - Manager Pilot Recruitment for British Airways will be the Guest Speaker at their final Careers Event of 2014 on Saturday 6 December at CTC Aviation’s Crew Training Centre - Southampton (UK).

Lindsay will be joined by a team of CTC WINGS graduate pilots now flying with British Airways and, together with speakers from CTC Aviation and Aviation Skills Partnership they will be on hand to answer questions throughout the day.

British Airways has been working in partnership with CTC Aviation since 2011 with the start of their flagship British Airways ‘Future Pilot Programme’ (FPP). CTC Aviation manages the ground-breaking programme on behalf of British Airways and also trains successful FPP applicants at CTC Aviation’s Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and the USA.

Significantly, British Airways also employs graduates of the CTC WINGS Integrated ATPL ‘whitetail’ airline pilot career programme. This is the only other route into British Airways for newly qualified pilots outside of the British Airways Future Pilot Programme.  Most recently, CTC WINGS ‘whitetail’ graduates Peter Daruvala, Tom Evans, Jonathan Irwin, Christopher Houghton and Stuart Parsons graduated straight into the right-hand seat of the flight deck as part of the British Airways team; a move facilitated by CTC Aviation’s dedicated graduate placement service which consistently places 98% of CTC WINGS’s graduates.

Karen Bath, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing Services for CTC Aviation said, “We now run our careers events on a monthly basis, but they are still always over-subscribed!  We are anticipating that this announcement will attract even more registrations, so we will increase capacity accordingly by adding a second presentation slot during the day if required.  Lindsay and the British Airways team are staunch supporters of our events and we are delighted they have agreed to speak, even though the application window for the British Airways Future Pilot Programme is not opening until 2015.  The fact that our ‘whitetail’ graduates also have an opportunity to join British Airways on completion of their CTC WINGS training will definitely be of interest to those attending on the day.”

With a variety of prospects with the airline available to CTC WINGS trainees, the careers event will offer a great opportunity to learn more about British Airways, the airline’s long-standing relationship with CTC Aviation, and what it is like to train and work with one of the world’s leading airlines. Pilots from CTC Aviation’s other Partner airlines such as easyJet, Monarch and Flybe are also scheduled to be on hand to answer questions; as well as experts who can help with finance, selection, training and general careers advice.
