FEFU won the golden medal of the international QS-APPLE conference and exhibition

Nov. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Far-Eastern Federal University’s booklet for prospective foreign students picked up the Gold Award of the tenth jubilee QS-APPLE conference and exhibition (Quacquarelli Symonds Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education Conference). The meeting of higher education’s leaders organized by the author of the world universities’ rating was held from November 10 to 13 in Taipei, Taiwan. Pro-rector for connections with federal state authorities, Tatyana Leonova, represented FEFU at this meeting.

The international QS-APPLE conference and exhibition annually  gathers top management of the best universities and experts in the field of higher education from Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Australia. The program includes plenary and parallel sessions where the participants discuss diverse aspects of international higher education: internationalization, market’s tendencies, international partnership, exchange programs, double diplomas. At the QS-APPLE jubilee conference’s plenary session,  FEFU’s pro-rector Tatyana Leonova made a report dealing with the topic Creating World-Level Universities in the Pacific Rim: Development Strategy.

One of the most important events at the QS-APPLE conference and exhibition is awarding in four nominations: the best advertisement block in the conference’s booklet, the best corporate video, the best website and the best booklet for recruiting international students. It is the latter nomination, in which the Far-Eastern Federal University, in the opinion of QS experts, is second to none on the international scene.

It should be noted that this is not the first high-level recognition of FEFU’s promoting its educational services on the international market. In 2012, the Federal University, participating in the QS-APPLE conference for the first time in Indonesia, was awarded with the grand prize for the best self-presentation. Out of more than 200 participants, the experts awarded the QS Creative Idol’s title exactly to FEFU. The university also took the second place for its booklet designed for attraction of international students and the third place in the nomination The Most Creative Corporate Video.
