The Dana Brown Charitable Trust Grants $10,000 To MERS Goodwill

Non-profit agency to purchase equipment and supplies for Imagination Learning Center

ST. LOUIS - Nov. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- MERS Goodwill is pleased to announce the acceptance of a $10,000 grant from the Dana Brown Charitable Trust. MERS Goodwill will use the funds to purchase equipment and supplies for the Imagination Learning Center, which provides child day care services to clients participating in MERS Goodwill rehabilitation programs, MERS Goodwill staff, and to families living or working in the downtown St. Louis area. The Center’s mission is to provide children with comprehensive education to facilitate cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and linguistic development.

“We are so grateful for the generous support from the Dana Brown Charitable Trust,” said Lewis C. Chartock, Ph.D., President and CEO of MERS Goodwill. “This grant will enable us to provide our community’s children with tools that foster both education and creativity. We know the importance of providing children from all backgrounds with a positive, caring, and safe learning environment, and this donation will help ensure our cause.”

The Imagination Learning Center is committed to developing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes family involvement and participation. The Center offers day care programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers ages 6 weeks to 7 years old. The $10,000 grant will be used to update equipment and supplies at the Imagination Learning Center.

Since its inception in 1995, the Dana Brown Charitable Trust has granted $62 million to St. Louis area organizations.
