Suncoast Golf Center & Academy Holds Grand Re-Opening Celebration

SARASOTA, Fla. - Nov. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Suncoast Golf Center & Academy, the region's only lighted golf course and practice center with both indoor and outdoor hitting bays, is proud to unveil its newly revitalized facility during a grand re-opening weekend on December 13 and 14. “We’re thrilled to introduce the community to all the wonderful changes we’ve made to what is essentially a new golfing facility,” said Ann Marie and Lou Marinaccio, owners of Suncoast Golf Center & Academy. “Our intention is to provide golfers and potential golfers of all ages with the best experience possible for practicing and learning the game.”

Suncoast Golf Center & Academy is open to the public from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm daily and managed by Lamoureaux Golf Consulting, a golf management company. Under the watchful eye of Ben Best, Director of Operations, and Scott Lamoureaux, Director of Golf, Suncoast Golf Center & Academy underwent major renovations designed to enhance the golf experience for players of all skill levels. Improvements include: Titleist practice balls; top-quality synthetic turf inside the air-conditioned Golf Academy; tee line synthetic turf on the practice tee; FlightScope launch monitor for detailed lessons and professional club fitting; advanced fitting cart; fully stocked and air-conditioned club repair room with lie/loft machine, re-shafting and re-gripping; newly grassed tees and greens; new practice bunker and tour-quality sand in all playing bunkers; 10 new targets on the driving range; new cups, flags and flagsticks; new reels for greens mowers; and a new roller for smoother, faster greens.

Suncoast Golf Center & Academy now has a fully stocked Pro Shop with the latest in Titleist clubs, featuring the new 915 Drivers, fairways and hybrids; SM5 Vokey wedges; new Scotty Cameron putters; and FJ gloves, shoes and apparel. Lamoureaux adds, “We are all about making golf fast, fun and affordable, and want our guests to know they can shop here and receive great service at the best prices!”

The team has also improved the look and feel of the entire facility with new landscape, newly tiled and remodeled restrooms, and an overall facelift to the property. Other major improvements coming soon include the best quality LED lighting on both the golf course and driving range, along with a beer and wine license.

Suncoast Golf Center & Academy is the host facility for The First Tee Sarasota/Manatee, and is set in the ideal location on the county line near the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. Lamoureaux has served on the Board of The First Tee for 9 years

Formed in 2000, The First Tee is a not-for-profit youth development organization that teaches children and teens life skills and core values through the game of golf. The program is open to children ages 5-18, as long as they are still in school. Suncoast Golf Center recently hosted the 4-Chapter First Tee Cup, a competition including students from Lakeland, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa, Sarasota and Manatee.
