NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nov. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Nashville, Tenn.-based singer-songwriter Aaron Espe and Boulder, Colo.-based singer-songwriter Reed Foehl today announced the release of their single, “One Bright Bird”, an iTunes exclusive song.

“One Bright Bird” is an emotional, beautifully-written song that combines Espe’s and Foehl’s talents as singer-songwriters, with a hopeful chorus of:  “Somewhere closer than you may know, somewhere farther than you thought you’d go. Go and give yourself away. Sing until it feels okay. Love will find us either way.”

“We both have an appreciation for each other’s music, and it was an honor to finally write together and create something we thought was special enough to record and share like this,” Espe said of his collaboration with Foehl.

About Aaron Espe

Raised in small-town northern Minnesota, Aaron Espe got his start by opening for the folk duo Storyhill in Minneapolis before dropping out of school to tour solo sets. Espe’s career has taken him across the U.S. and Northern Ireland, playing in coffee shops, bars, churches, and even the occasional yoga studio. He has released over five solo albums including: My Whole Life (2005), Songs From A Small Town (2008), Three (2012), Through Frozen Forests (2012) and most recently Safe Enough To Wander (2013). In addition to his solo success, Espe has opened for The Fray, John Gorka, Juliet Turner and Brian Houston. He’s also secured coveted placements on ABC, MTV, VH1, Animal Planet, as well as commercials for Sainsbury’s, Payless ShoeSource, Volkswagen, The University of Minnesota and the film, “Where the Yellowstone Goes.”

He says his success as a songwriter comes from “taking chances and being open to new discoveries,” a principle by which he also tries to live. One of his major influences is Martin Sexton’s Black Sheep album, which prompted him to focus his songwriting on topics a bit more confessional and vulnerable. One in particular, the song “Glory Bound,” which he says, “lays it all on the table…if you don’t feel something deep inside of you when you’re listening to it, I don’t know what to tell you.”

Outside of music, Espe enjoys working with his hands, sometimes gardening with his wife, or tinkering in the garage while accompanied by his two-year-old son. He also acts as one-half of Bombs Over Nowhere, a collaborative project with his friend and fellow songwriter busbee. Currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Espe writes for Nettwerk and Revelry. About Reed Foehl

Steeped in the folk tradition, Reed Foehl is largely known for his lyrical ability as an artist. He possesses a talent, and voice that is very seldom seen or heard. Foehls landscape of lush tones and solid songs touch upon the raw truth of love and tragedy, without sinking into saccharin sentimentally or cold remove. His albums pull together a touch of country, folk, and edgy roots rock with the bold honesty intrinsic to modern songwriting.

A Boston native based in Colorado since 1989, Foehl struck out on his own 8 years ago after being a founding member of the worldwide jam based folk flavored phenomenon Acoustic Junction. Since then Reed Foehl has released 4 solo albums: Once An Ocean 2009, Stoned Beautiful 2007, Spark 2004, and Leo’s Song 1995, a compilation of Reeds earliest solo works.

With an endless stream of bleeding-heart songwriters, its not often that you find one with such a voice, along with a matched musical sensibility. His simple yet powerful, direct compositions have caught the attention of new fans nationwide through commercial radio airplay and placements for television and film., Reed has performed with Arlo Guthrie, Ray Lamontagne, Elephant Revival, Patty Griffin, Dave Matthews, Mike Doughty, Glenn Phillips, The Be Good Tanyas, Colin Hay, Taj Majal, Gregory Alan Isakov, David Lindley, Marc Cohn, Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Guster, Howie Day, My Morning Jacket and many more.
