Follow on Google News | Actor Robert Gossett Joins The Wells Bring Hope #GivingTuesday CampaignThe MAJOR CRIMES actor to participate in the global giving movement on December 2, 2014, in support of Wells Bring Hope.
By: Wells Bring Hope #GivingTuesday was created in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y, in New York City, in an effort to help people focus on giving back by creating a holiday to rival Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Since its inception #GivingTuesday has grown into a global movement with 10 international websites, 46 participating countries, and a partnership with the United Nations Development Programme. #GivingTuesday’ Wells Bring Hope is the non-profit committed to drilling wells to bring safe water and sanitation to rural villages in Niger, West Africa. Niger is the poorest country in the world, according to the 2013 UN Development Index, and one of many places where contaminated water kills innocent victims, most often infants and young children. “Robert Gossett has been a Wells Bring Hope supporter since its inception and we are excited about his participation in our #GivingTuesday campaign. We encourage everyone to join this monumental global effort to take action and give back to the charities and causes that help create a better world,” said Barbara Goldberg. Robert Gossett is an accomplished television, theatre and film actor who stars as commander Russell Taylor in the TNT crime drama Major Crimes—a spinoff of its highly successful predecessor The Closer.
