Gen3 Software Releases WordSurf for Android - the Single and Multiplayer Word Search Game

CHICAGO - Nov. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Gen3’s entry into the Educational Apps, WordSurf, officially launched today on the Google Play Store and Amazon Mobile App Store.

WordSurf features single and multiplayer games with an online “always current” dictionary (powered by Wordnik) that enables players to retrieve current definitions and audio pronunciations for the words they complete. WordSurf’s Word of the Day feature provides daily challenges, helping to improve vocabulary in a fun learning game. Players can compete with players worldwide for a place on one of the WordSurf leaderboards.

WordSurf’s unique multiplayer game play allows players to play independently and upon completion, compare their individual scores playing the same gameboard, earning points for unique words.

Simultaneously, Gen3 announced that the WordSurf platform would be made available to commercial entities as an “out of the box” game to enhance their current mobile applications. “The word search platform allows us to trigger special “in game events” when specific words are spelled, such as providing coupons or incentives on the players current or next visit. This will allow merchants to easily include gamification principles into their apps without the time and expense of custom development, announced Gen3’s Marketing Director. “In fact, we’ve included a little sample of how these events can be triggered in our release version of the apps. We are looking forward to hearing from the first users that discover how to trigger the events”.
