ATLANTA - Nov. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- After four solid years on Atlanta’s competitive housing scene, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods continues to be recognized as one of city’s rising stars. On the heels of placing at #9 in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual list of Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta, Acadia Homes has been honored with five OBIEs during the 34th Annual OBIE Awards. Hosted each November by the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA), this year’s event took place at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and featured some of the city’s boldest and brightest builders, developers, remodelers, marketers, and real estate professionals. At the end of the evening, the Acadia team went back to their corporate headquarters with an armload full of OBIEs that included:

Sales Manager of the Year to Acadia Home’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Sam Bass: In addition to lively weekly sales meetings and regular appearances on Atlanta’s Best New Homes TV, Bass directly supervises an astounding 25 communities and 30 salespeople throughout Metro Atlanta. Under his watch in 2013, sales comprised 209 homes – representing more than $58M in total volume of new homes sold.

Gold OBIE for Best Interior Merchandising – Detached Model ($299,999 and under) to Sawyer Farms: The exquisitely adorned model home at this Acadia community in Grayson was designed by Tanaya Morgan Williams of Parlay Interiors. Showcasing the highest potential of the popular 3139 square foot Jackson floor plan where space is maximized without appearing cluttered, Williams masterfully illustrates “a step up” without making it appear out of reach.  Everything from color palette, to furnishings and finishes, to art and accessories were carefully selected to enhance the home and entice the buyer.

Silver OBIE for Best Interior Merchandising – Detached Model ($300,000 to $449,999) to Kirkwood Green: Located in Acadia Homes trendiest in-town community, the model home needed to evoke a sense of style and sophistication that would leave an indelible mark on guests. By enlisting the aid of designer Sandy Moon of Focus Design Interiors – whose designs have garnered Acadia OBIE Awards in the past – the home accomplishes that and more. The use of neutral colors with dark trim open up the rooms, while modern stylization offsets the period-influence of homes in the surrounding historic neighborhood in order to appeal to refined younger set.

Silver OBIE for Best Community Information/Sales Center to Acadia Homes’ new Design Gallery: The entirely innovative and completely immersive Design Gallery – which just opened earlier this year – invites guests to “prepare to be inspired” through a series of interactive stations and imaginatively-displayed vignettes designed to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. While here, home buyers can select everything from paint colors and flooring to countertops and cabinets.

Silver OBIE for Best Audio-Video/DVD Promotion to the Acadia Homes Feature produced by Hometown Builder Television: The beautifully executed, professionally produced 6 minute video uses a news feature format to showcase Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods as a homebuilder that not only cares about its customers, but also the quality of the homes it builds. In addition to segments that feature CEO Gregg Goldenberg and numerous sweeping product shots, the video also uses testimonials from a variety of home buyers to secure credibility with the viewer – who is likely a prospective home buyer. The video appears on the homepage of AcadiaHomes.com and plays on a continuous loop in Acadia sales centers throughout Metro Atlanta.
