The Deubener Awards celebrate local businesses and individuals that show innovation, leadership, and excellence. Named after Walter and Lydia Deubener, St. Paul grocery store owners in the early 1900s who invented the first generation of shopping bags with handles, the awards recognize five businesses and two individuals in a variety of categories.
