LAS VEGAS - Nov. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- WHAT:

Project 150 will distribute Thanksgiving meals to high schoolstudents and their families in need at 27 CCSD high schools.

Project 150 has filled more than 100 volunteer spots to help assemble and package 1,150 meal boxes at their local volunteer center.   Each meal package will serve a family of four.

This year the need is greater than ever, last year we fed 4,400 at Thanksgiving and 3,880 at Christmas, so we ask the community to help meet the demand by donating and challenging friends to sponsor a student and their family for only $25.

Meli Pulido, Executive Director of Project 150, said, “There is an overwhelming hunger increase in school age children. Project 150 assists in meeting the needs of over 1,500 homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged students in area high schools. I challenge the community to step up to sponsor Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for these students.”
