Lee Olive and The Olive Law Firm Participate in JDRF Hope Gala For Diabetes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Lee Olive, Charlotte personal injury attorney, and Olive Law Firm, participated in the JDRF Hope Gala, Saturday, November 15th in Charlotte NC. This event is sponsored by The JDRF Greater Western Carolinas Chapter. The Hope Gala raised more than $800,000 for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research in the one evening due to the extraordinary generosity of all who attended.

Chairmen for this year's Hope Gala were Wyn and Neville Bilbrey, along with Kerri and Eric Wallace, and the event was at the Charlotte Westin. The schedule included a silent auction with mobile bidding, a seated dinner along with a special program, and entertainment at this special black tie affair.

Lee Olive also recently participated in the annual bike ride in South Carolina to cure diabetes which was also organized by JDRF. As a diabetic himself, Mr. Olive sees events like these to help in the fight against diabetes. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, 29.1 million people or 9.3% of  the US population have diabetes or 7.8 person per 1000 person.
