By: District 83 Toastmasters In line with the conference theme, Cragin and Lee will deliver an interactive workshop that incorporates ideas, as well as a plan of action to achieve optimum results. “One of the challenges that Toastmasters clubs, or any organization, face is the retention and recruitment of members,” says Dr. Cragin, “our goal is to teach those attending our workshop to think creatively, by using all the tools available to them, including social media such as Meetup.com, to achieve their objectives and obtain optimum results.” “We are both thrilled to be a part of this conference,” Olga Berejnaia, Fall conference chairperson notes, “Having expert professionals such as David and Jaclyn to present this workshop exemplifies the quality of this conference. Both members and guests can expect to learn new, creative ways to attract new members, and retain existing members.” Dr. David Cragin, ACG, ALB, has been a member of Merck Toastmasters since April 1, 1998, and is working toward his Advanced Leader Silver Award. He has served in several leadership roles, including President. Jaclyn Lee, CC, ALB, has been a member of Conackamack Toastmasters since May 1, 2009, and is working toward her Advanced Communicator Bronze and Advanced Leader Silver designations. In addition to David Cragin and Jaclyn Lee’s session, conference attendees will also have networking and socializing opportunities, as well as a choice of breakout sessions encompassing professional, personal and Toastmaster club development. Workshop presenters are selected via a vigorous process and are chosen based on ability to present a dynamic session that incorporates the conference theme.
