United Premier Soccer League Announces San Pedro Monsters FC as New Team Member

TORRANCE, Calif. - Nov. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- November 21, 2014 – Torrance, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (upslsoccer.com) announced today that the San Pedro Monsters FC (www.SanPedroMFC.com) have joined the UPSL and are officially a new team member of the Western Conference for the 2014/15 UPSL Season. The UPSL currently consists of two conferences covering Los Angeles County which includes Los Angeles County, Orange County and the Inland Empire.

The UPSL runs a 2014 fall and winter schedule with playoffs that conclude in March, 2015. San Pedro Monsters FC will join the L.A. Wolves FC, Santa Monica Sporting FC, Penmar LA FC, L.A. South Bay, So Cal Troop, Las Vegas High Rollers, Santa Clarita Storm and Del Rey City FC to make up the Western Conference. The Southeast Conference is made up of OC Crew, PSA Elite, Banning USA, OC Stars, Santa Ana Winds, Cal Dream, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Garden Grove City FC, La Maquina, and Glory United.

Paul Butterfield, Owner/Head Coach of San Pedro Monsters FC stated, “We are very excited about our entry into the UPSL. The UPSL is a league that made sense to us as an organization from a profit and loss standpoint. Local travel within our conference and very good team completion made it very easy for us to want to jump on the UPSL train as the league is growing throughout Southern California and we want to be a part of that growth and play a role in growing the league overall. We have some exciting soccer talent in the San Pedro market and we are going to be working with the top talent in our community to build a winning tradition.
