I’m Not a Monster Kicks Off 3rd Annual Holiday Donation Drive for Homeless Pets

Nov. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- As the holiday season approaches, I'm Not a Monster is kicking off its Third Annual Monster Holiday Drive to help make the holidays brighter for homeless pets waiting in shelters and temporary boarding facilities.

Last year, in established partnerships with over 80 ambassadors, shelters and rescue groups, the campaign raised close to $100,000 in donated food, toys, and other enrichment items, a staggering 400% growth from 2012.

The success continues to grow, and thousands more animal lovers have become involved in this worthwhile cause. This year, ambassador and organization participation has more than doubled! “We have 75 “Monster” Elves supporting 125 shelters and rescues. That’s more than 1 Million caring animal lovers and advocates on social media. That is huge!” states Imelda Suriato, Founder of I’m Not a Monster. “Our goal this year is $250,000. Can we do it? If everyone bands together, we definitely can.”

“The success from previous years showed that people want to be involved in doing something good and to improve animal welfare. No other organization has done it on a nationwide scale such as this. Our mission is to be the Toys for Tots for animals in need, uniting local communities in a common cause and shining a light on the plight of homeless animals across the U.S. and beyond.”

Local ambassadors and organizations set up drives benefiting their local animal shelters, rescues, animal welfare and community outreach organizations. Community members are invited to join and they can host collection drives to benefit a local shelter or rescue group of their choice.
