Jacksonville’s Exclusive Dell Computing Partner Travels to Dell World 2014

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nov. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Jacksonville’s only Dell Cloud Workspace-as-a-Service (WaaS) Partner, U2Cloud, returned to the city this week with news of the latest breakthroughs in cloud computing for businesses. From high performance graphics interfaces to other groundbreaking innovations that allow businesses to replace expensive physical machines and software, this year’s Dell World 2014 Convention debuted extraordinary new technologies designed to save business money and enhance customer service and security. Hunter Solsona and Pete Valentine with U2Cloud journeyed to Austin, TX, for the convention since the company teamed up with Dell earlier this year as Jacksonville’s only Dell Workspace-as-a-Service (WaaS) partner. The program provides local businesses of all sizes with secure remote access to applications, data and desktops.

Pete Valentine, EVP at U2Cloud explained how the revolutionary technology will make a difference to local businesses. “Dell has developed an open standard strategy when it comes to Software-Defined-Networking and U2Cloud is taking advantage of it. Dell’s new mentality of any networking OS’s on Dell’s open standard hardware with standard orchestration and automation tools is giving U2Cloud a leg up on the competition.”  Valentine added that he and the rest of the team were especially inspired when Michael Dell kicked off his keynote with the news of Dell’s recent privatization by saying, "I believe one of the benefits of going private is being able to dedicate 100 percent of our energy toward the success of our customers and partners. It gives us the freedom and focus that we love and that translates into results."

From a kiosk on the Dell World floor, U2Cloud’s Managing Partner Hunter Solsona explained how Dell’s latest innovations will change the way people perceive and use virtual machines. “I saw the K2 power two auto-racing simulators, demonstrating the gaming prowess of their GRID K2 GPU’s and it was very impressive.” Solsona added, “We’ve seen an increase in customer demand for high- performance graphic workspaces. More and more users want the same performance from their virtual machines as they got from their physical ones.”

U2Cloud CEO Joe Solsona echoed his team’s sentiments.  “Dell World 2014 couldn’t have gone any better and we look forward to Dell World 2015.”
