About the Speakers
Keynote Speaker, Luis D. Ortiz was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised, along with his twin brother Daniel, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Today, he is one of Bravo's most exciting personalities, co-starring in the network's hit show "Million Dollar Listing New York." The show follows Luis as he brokers the buying and selling of luxury properties in New York City's real estate market. With seven years of real estate experience under his belt, Luis has helped major figures in New York City—from partners at Goldman Sachs to celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Sandra Lee—find their dream homes. In August of 2013, Ortiz joined forces with New York's #1 real estate brokerage firm, Douglas Elliman, and founded his own real estate Team- Ortiz & Co., selling more than $100 million in residential real estate in just three short years.

Exceptionally hard working, 2015 LRES guest speaker, Tomas Martinez III, carved his success by teaching at some of the toughest schools for over a decade. Completing his Masters degree at Texas A&M University, Tomas led countless workshops for the professional development of thousands of educators throughout the state of Texas.
