Dr. Matthew Clary Selected for 2015 National Board of Christian Ophthalmology Society

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Columbia, SC, November, 2014 - The Eye Center, one of the most well-known and comprehensive eye care centers in South Carolina, has recently announced that one of its physicians, Dr. Matthew Clary, has been chosen for the third consecutive year to sit on the National Board for the Christian Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Clary is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive surgery, refractive lens exchange, glaucoma, and cataract surgery.

“I am honored to be chosen once again by the Christian Ophthalmology Society to sit on its national board,” says Dr. Clary. “I - along with the entire team here at The Eye Center - feel very strongly about the work that is done by COS and I am proud to be a part of an organization that supports our profession through ministry and mission opportunities.”

The Christian Ophthalmology Society was established in 1977 and has a variety of goals that includes uniting the opthalmology community through a shared commitment to faith. Members are also offered the opportunity to participate in mission trips around the world during which eye care is provided for those who would otherwise not have access to such care.

Dr. Clary was also selected as a national board member for 2013 and 2014, making this upcoming year the third in which he will hold the position - the responsibility of which is not lost on him.
