IPSWICH, U.K. - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- A newly published study from Aberdeen Group has found that the best-performing field service organisations are extremely focused on leveraging mobility solutions to empower workers. Mobility solutions provide field workers with the real-time intelligence needed to make decisions and resolve customer issues. As a result, they are achieving higher first-time case resolution and improved levels of customer satisfaction.

Trimble Field Service Management (FSM) collaborated with Aberdeen analyst Aly Pinder to produce the report, Empowering the Mobile Worker with Real-Time Insight and Data Integration. The report revealed that best-in-class field service organisations recognise that their technicians need access to accurate and up-to-date information in order to deliver exceptional customer service and thus they have heavily invested in mobile tools.

Field service organisations must ensure that their field workers leverage the mobile tools and apps that they have invested in. Findings revealed that 61 per cent of best-in-class field service organisations are more likely than peers to have the ability to monitor the use of mobile apps by the field team. Furthermore, they achieve nearly five times higher first-time fix rates as a result of their mobile deployment.
