Walters Group Employees Give to Local Food Bank

10th Annual Food Drive Benefits FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties

BARNEGAT, N.J. - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Walters Group employees collected $4,450 in individual donations and 274 pounds of food items during their 10th annual food drive to benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Employees participated in the annual campaign to replenish local food banks and raise awareness about the prevalence of hunger. Contributions were collected at the Walters Group Barnegat office during a week-long food drive.

“We are very proud of the support we received from our fellow employees, local residents, subcontractors, and our suppliers,” said Candyce Fleming, purchasing manager for Walters Group, who acted as the employee coordinator for this charitable activity. “The food drive makes a real difference for so many in need in our community.”

All of the money and food donations collected were given to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, a nonprofit organization that provides meals through a network of over 300 feeding programs. For more information on the FoodBank, visit www.foodbankmoc.org.
