Celebrate Christmas and Send Season’s Greetings with the MTR & Hello Kitty Souvenir Ticket Sets

HONG KONG, China - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- “Hello Kitty & Friends” will be bringing their warmest Christmas greetings to MTR passengers as they make festive appearances in a new series of souvenir ticket sets. The “MTR & Hello Kitty Souvenir Ticket Sets” will be available to passengers from 7 December 2014 for three consecutive weeks.

"'Hello Kitty' always brings happy and warm feelings, which are perfect to share at Christmas. So this holiday season, we are very pleased to have 'Hello Kitty's' help to spread Christmas cheers to our passengers,” said Ms Jeny Yeung, Commercial Director of MTR Corporation. “Each souvenir ticket set includes two postcards which passengers can use to write personal greetings to someone they love. To add to the fun, the post boxes in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Prince Edward stations will be decked out in special Hello Kitty decorations during the festive season.”

The full series of souvenir tickets include three sets entitled “A Sparkling Christmas", “A Joyful Christmas" and "A Heart Warming Christmas". Priced at HK$120, each set comprises one MTR souvenir ticket*, a specially designed ticket holder, two postcards and a designated “Hello Kitty” gift (a decorative light, an MTR music train and an electric hand warmer respectively). The first souvenir ticket set will be available for sale on 7 December, with the other two sets following on 14 December and 21 December.

Ticket Validity: From date of purchase to 31 January 2015 (Saturday)

Each souvenir ticket is valid for one single journey to any destination on the MTR* on or before 31 January 2015 (Saturday) and can be kept as a souvenir after use.

The ticket sets will be available for sale at all MTR Customer Service Centres^** (unpaid area) on the above mentioned dates from the start of MTR train service while stocks last. Each person is limited to two sets per purchase. For details, please visit www.mtr.com.hk.

MTR Club members can make advance purchase of the full series of souvenir ticket sets online through the Corporation’s website at www.mtr.com.hk from today (20 November 2014) to 26 November 2014.

^*          Each ticket is valid for one single journey to any destination on the MTR on or before 31 January 2015, except Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, journeys to or from Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations, Light Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus.
