Vistage Michigan Presents Ambassador Award to Rehmann Principal Jim Boyes

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. - Nov. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Vistage Michigan selected Rehmann Principal Jim Boyes as the recipient of its Ambassador Award.

The Ambassador Award is presented in recognition and appreciation of a member’s leadership in creating a strong foundation for continued growth of the Vistage community.

Boyes has been a Vistage member since 1999.  During that time, he has attended more than 120 meetings.  He also has been an active recruiter for Vistage, securing at least six new members in the past 10 years.

“I have learned a new skill or approach to running my business more effectively in almost every meeting,” said Boyes.  “It means so much to get an award from an organization that has already done so much for me.”

The Beverly Hills resident has more than 50 years experience in public accounting, beginning his career in 1963 before founding his own accounting firm, Boyes, Wright, Pittman & Company PLLC in 1969.  His firm joined the Rehmann in 2007, where Boyes currently serves as a principal.

Boyes is active in the community, raising thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Cornerstone Schools, where he is a partner and provides an annual student scholarship.  He also is a Life Member at Plum Hollow Country Club, where he helped to establish a trust  to  raise funds to care for the family of an employee who died at a young age.  The trust has acquired a home for the employee’s family.

“Jim represents all that is good about Vistage,” said Jim Simpson, Boyes’ group chair.  “He not only has been able to get everything he can to help his business, but also gives back that knowledge to make sure his fellow members succeed as well.”
