Miss Angola United States of America Michaela Pinto Crowned in Houston Texas

HOUSTON - Nov. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Miss Michaela Pinto was crowned Miss Angola United States of America at the Cullen Hall on the University of Texas Campus in Houston Texas  -  the sister city of Luanda Angola.

Michaela acceptance of the highly prized crowned begins her journey to represent the pageant in the Miss Angola pageant scheduled to take place in Luanda, Angola in December 2014 where a winner will be chosen to represent the country of Angola in the prestigious Miss Universe pageant in Miami, Florida. She will also represent her here crown in the United States as she embarks on various cultural and speaking visits to promote her platform, Helping Angolan Women and being a role model for all Angolans living in the United States.

First runner up in the competition was Miss Emilia Paulo and the Second runner up was Miss Yara Theresa Alberto. Other awards went to Miss Emilia Paulo who was crowned was Miss Photogenic and People’s Choice while Miss Chuelsia  Carvalho the youngest of the contestants was crowned Miss Congeniality. “All the contestants were beautiful and they have showcased to the world the beauty that lies in the heart and minds of young Angolans” as stated by Mrs. Maria da Cruz Gabriel, cofounder and the Miss Angola Pageant.

The Miss Angola United States Pageant’s celebrated the third successful event and according to the pageant director Miss Nadine Gualdino, “the hard work and diligence paid off and this pageant turned out to be the best one yet.”

The pageant was hosted by Oskar Rodriguez and Laurinda Santos. The 6 contestants came from all over the United States and competed fiercely to become the new face of Angola in the United States.
