World’s first Northern light trail

LYNGSEIDET, Norway - Nov. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- The dark period have started in Lyngenfjord and the sun is absent until 22^nd of Januar. You can enjoy the arctic lights with fantastic skies coloured in orange, red, purple, and deep blue. During the nights, the northern lights will dance over Lyngenfjord and in Lyngseidet, you can find a northern light trail marked with reflectors and coloured ribbon. Probably the world’s first northern light trail!

- The purpose is to bring a flashlight and follow the signs and the white reflectors during the evenings and nights to find the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful northern lights, says Annika Ilmoni who works at the destination company Visit Lyngenfjord. It is easy to get away from the light pollutions around Lyngenfjord and this trail will help the tourists to find good viewpoints to see the northern lights with the magnificent Lyngen Alps as a backdrop! Ilmoni says.

It is possible to see the northern lights from the beginning of September until the end of March. During the dark period, you can even see the lights in the afternoons!
