The Honorable Tom Ridge to Keynote IJIS Institute National Symposium

ASHBURN, Va. - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- The IJIS Institute – a nonprofit organization focused on mission-critical information sharing for justice, public safety, and homeland security – is pleased to announce that the Honorable Tom Ridge will join leading IT executives in Virginia as a keynote speaker for the IJIS Institute National Symposium. The event will take place from January 20-23, 2015, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.

Ridge is perhaps best known as the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Prior to DHS, he was the twice-elected Governor of Pennsylvania and served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ridge is also a Vietnam combat veteran.

Today, Gov. Ridge is the CEO of Ridge Global, partner with Ridge-Schmidt Cyber, and chairman of Ridge Insurance Solutions Company, specializing in cyber security and insurance in partnership with five leading Lloyd’s syndicates. Often noted for his instrumental role within DHS, Ridge leads a team of international experts that help businesses and governments address a range of needs throughout their organizations, including security and infrastructure protection, emergency preparedness and response, energy, strategic growth, maritime management, and other issues that encompass a diverse portfolio.
