Ding! Ding! Lunch is Now Being Served at Growlers Pourhouse

New hours at Growlers Pourhouse have the award-winning craft beer bar opening for lunch.
 
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- With a usual after-work crowd opening Growlers Pourhouse at 5 pm each weekday, the NoDa hot spot is now opening for lunch at 11:30 am Tuesday through Friday. Lunch will still be served on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at noon.

The Charlotte beer scene knows full-well about the craft beer served at Growlers Pourhouse – after all, the bar has been selected as one of the Top 100 Beer Bars in the US by Draft Magazine for four years in a row now. But what about the “beer food” they tout?

“Beer food” at Growlers Pourhouse is known to be any kind of food that goes well with beer. That means menu offerings like:

·      Housemade sausage and brats (yes, literally made right there at the corner of 35th and N. Davidson).

·      Hand-cut, twice-fried French fries – which can also be enjoyed as a poutine with gravy and homemade cheese curds.

·      Panini sandwiches – including the Growlers Pourhouse Reuben, selected as “The Best Sandwich in the City” by the Charlotte Observer last year.

“It is definitely time to open for lunch,” says Jeff Tonidandel, one of the owners of Growlers Pourhouse. “We have amazing food options, from our sandwiches to our farm-to-fork oysters, to our housemade sausages. Our dinner business has grown tremendously as people want unique, hand-crafted food in a down-to-earth atmosphere. Now they can have that at lunch time, too.”

Growlers Pourhouse even has gluten free bread on the menu for gluten-sensitive sandwich lovers.

Tonidandel noted that the thriving neighborhood of NoDa was a big driver in opening earlier in the day. “With the amount of influx in apartments and general notoriety of the neighborhood, we see an opportunity to serve more customers. We’ve also had a lot of requests from business people who are interested in discussing business plans and strategies over a beer at a local bar rather than over coffee.”
