Snell & Wilmer Expands Salt Lake Office with the Addition of Five Associate Attorneys

SALT LAKE CITY - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce the addition of five attorneys to its Salt Lake office. Nettie Downs, Tanner Frei, Scott Pratt, Colby Vogt and Ben Welch join the firm as associates.

Nettie Downs concentrates her practice in corporate and securities law with an emphasis on formation, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. She received her B.A. from Brigham Young University, magna cum laude, her M.A. from University of Pennsylvania Lauder Institute, Wharton – Arts & Sciences and earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She was the executive editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law.

Tanner Frei focuses his practice in commercial finance. He received his B.A. from the University of Utah, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He was the managing editor of the UCLA Law Review. Frei was a judicial extern to the Honorable Scott M. Matheson, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Scott Pratt focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, he served as a clerk for Federal District Court Judge Dee Benson in the United States District Court for the District of Utah. Pratt received his J.D. with honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. Pratt played professional baseball six seasons with the Cleveland Indians Organization and one year with the Atlanta Braves Organization.

Colby Vogt concentrates his practice in commercial real estate. He received his B.A. from Weber State University and his J.D. with honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. He was an articles editor for the Utah Environmental Law Review. Vogt worked at an Ogden-based law firm prior to joining Snell & Wilmer.

Ben Welch focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Welch comes to Snell & Wilmer from a Provo-based law firm where he practiced commercial litigation. Prior to that, he served as a special deputy county attorney for Utah County doing criminal prosecution. He received his M.A. and B.A. from Brigham Young University, magna cum laude. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif.
