Vistage Michigan Welcomes Kalkaska Screw Products President and CEO Kevin Schlueter as Member

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Vistage Michigan, an affiliate of the world’s leading chief executive organization, announced the addition of Kalkaska Screw Products President and CEO Kevin Schlueter to its northern Michigan group.

Vistage Michigan provides business leaders with access to new business perspectives, innovative strategies and actionable items.

Since joining Kalkaska Screw Products in 2010, Schlueter has helped the company grow from 19 to 90 employees despite the area being hit particularly hard by the recession.  In 2013, Kalkaska Screw Products was selected the Traverse Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, an honor for which it beat out more than 200 other companies.

Outside the office, Schlueter is co-founder of the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District Precision Machining Co-Op Program and a current member of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  He also is a past co-chair of Michigan Technological University’s External Advisory Board for the Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Mechanics Department.

Schlueter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering/engineering mechanics from Michigan Technological University.  He also earned a Master of Science in Administration in General Administration from Central Michigan University.

As a member of Vistage Michigan, Schlueter will enjoy an advisory board of CEO peers who meet in small groups, nine times a year, to help one another make better business decisions and achieve better results.  He also will partake in one-to-one business coaching from a seasoned and accomplished chief executive (C.E.) group chair.
