Miami Florida Home Prices Continue To Rise Into the Holiday Season

Miami Florida real estate market conditions driving home home prices!

MIAMI - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Over the last two years, the housing market recovered significantly. In 2013, home prices increased by 12% compared to 2012. In 2014, home prices continued to increase significantly.

“Over the last couple years, several market conditions combined to drive up home prices,” says Ellen Mitchel, CDPE, RE/MAX Executive Realty. “Fewer distressed properties, low inventory, and high demand, all helped fuel the remarkable increases.”

As home prices continue to increase, millions of Miami FL homeowners are regaining equity in their homes.  As homeowners’ situations improve, many are considering selling their homes.

“After years of being unable to sell due to low prices, many homeowners are finally able to think about selling,” Mitchel said. “What they find is that, because inventory is still severely constrained, they are able to get much more for their homes than they expect. Potential homebuyers are entering bidding wars over properties. In fact, when a home is listed for sale, it stays on the market for less than two months on average. If you’re looking to sell a home, now is an incredible time to do so.”

As a Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE), Ellen Mitchel is specially trained to help distressed homeowners understand their situation and explore the options available to them. “Following the housing market crash, I dedicated myself to helping struggling homeowners. Fortunately, the recent upturn in the market is providing many with new paths out of a difficult situations,” Mitchel said.
