CHELMSFORD, U.K. - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Christine (33) from Chelmsford says; ‘I just love to see people starting businesses that relate to their passions. I really enjoy sharing the knowledge I’ve gathered through starting my own business and by completing over 10 years in a marketing career. As well as working directly with clients, I also mentor start-up students at the University of Essex, Anglia Ruskin, and speak at the Creative Hub 15 Queen Street in Colchester and the School for Creative Startups in London.’

The latest statistics by StartUp Britain say that over 500,000 new businesses have opened in the UK this year alone. Unfortunately around 50 per cent will fail in the first few years. Christine says that not doing basic research and gathering the necessary skills can be contributing factors to the demise of many businesses.

She’s developing online content so that she can help lots more people. Her first web-based course under the banner of the Creative Start-Up Academy is: ‘How to set and achieve your business goals.’ It includes advice on why it’s important to set goals, how to stay motivated, mindset and values, time management and a range of frequently asked questions. The online programmes contain a range of videos, worksheets and a 30-minute call with her.

Christine has already helped businesses in a range of creative industries including, Creative Hands and Love That Smile Photography. She says her mission is to help people through every phase of their start-up journey and to help them love their life. ‘If people enjoy their work and it reflects what they want to do and they do that in balance with their personal life then they and everyone around them is happier. Whilst I support start-ups much of my content and philosophies can be related to life in general too and I often find myself coaching clients about other areas of their life so that they can be happier in the round.  I wake up every morning with the feeling that my life is awesome and I want others to feel the same’.

Notes for Editors:

Short Bio Christine Michaelis; Although Christine is now living in Chelmsford, Essex, she was actually born and raised in Berlin, Germany.

After completing an apprenticeship in Marketing and Advertising in Germany and working in the industry for more than 7 years there, she felt it was time for a change. She moved to the UK where she soon discovered that she was looking for a new challenge: Starting her own business. She enrolled and finished and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Coaching course and now made it her mission to help other people to be happy in what they do for a living. She is the marketing and creative start-up Coach.

She is now working for the University of Essex to support the students who want to start their own business, mentoring start-up students at the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford and Cambridge and coaches individuals who start their own business and need marketing support. She also gives regular talks and workshops for the School for Creative Startups (http://www.schoolforcreativestartups.com), 15 Queen Street (http://www.15queenstreet.org)as well as running her own ones. In Chelmsford she is also doing the marketing and PR of a small business.

Happiness is her number one value in life and in her business. And she truly believes that if you are happy in your job, you are much happier in your life.

Ubuntu = I am because we are. For her that means she can only truly be herself when you are yourself. She can only be truly happy when people around her are happy.

She is a very happy person who is doing thing she loves – in her work but also personal life. She just started to learn the Ukulele, likes funny unicorns (that’s why there is a unicorn horn hidden in the Creative Start-Up Academy logo) and her plans for the next 12 months also include learning how to dance Salsa, seeing the Northern Lights and working on a vineyard in Sicily. She is living life to the fullest and wants to spread that joy.
