Catching Up With a Government Technology Guru

By: Government Technology Reporting

Nov. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Technology visionary Michael Lee all but dropped from the radar nearly four years ago. Today, Government Technology Reporting caught up with him. Interestingly, this international technology executive has found a home as I.T. Director for a small county government nestled in the Texas Hill Country. “I still write articles and speak to groups regarding today’s technology trends” Lee said, “the only difference for me today is that I am solely focused on government technology,” When asked if he misses his former exotic work locations worldwide (Tokyo, Shanghai, The Netherlands to name a few) Lee responded simply by stating that “14 hour flights and waking up and looking at the telephone directory to figure out where you are is not something to be missed.”  He went on to say that “There is plenty of work to be done right here where I am.” “If every professional who is dissatisfied with the state of our world and our government would simply lend his or her skill to resolving the problems then, those problem would quickly diminish.” “At this point in my career, my focus is upon public service and bringing value to the public tax payer that was once reserved for share-holders.”

Lee has been heavily involved in educating his peers throughout Texas regarding government records management, Texas Local Government Records regulations and how both relate to Cloud Computing and Cloud Contracts.

Now that we’ve found him again, look for much more from Michael Lee in upcoming issues of GTR!
