The Vancouver Christmas Market Now Shines 100 Times Brighter

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Nov. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Vancouver, BC, November 20, 2014:

MyBrilliantStar CEO Hartmut Friedrichs felt the best way to let his light shine was to brighten the lives of the 100,000 visitors to the Vancouver Christmas Market, with 100 traditional Herrnhut Stars that now decorate the huts and the massive Christmas Tree that dominates the Queen Elizabeth Plaza.

MyBrilliantStar is one of 50 German Vendors that will be at the market from November 22nd to Christmas Eve.  Their hut will offer a variety of Herrnhut Stars, as well as traditional Heidel Confiserie Chocolate.  Children will have the opportunity to build their very own Herrnhut Star Ornament to take home.  While children are busy with their arts and crafts, parents can get into the Christmas Spirit at the conveniently located Gluehwein (mulled wine) booth across the way.

Anyone who makes or purchases a star will be sharing in a Christmas Tradition that all started in East Saxony over 160 years ago, when a teacher created the first Moravian Star in a private school for boys as a geometry lesson.  Traditionally, the star is hung up on the first Sunday of Advent, and remains up until Epiphany, January 6th.

The Herrnhut Star Factory is located in the town of Herrnhut, East Saxony, Germany.   The original Herrnhut Star consists of 17 square and 8 triangular points.
