Walters Group Earns Six NJAA Garden State Awards for Outstanding Achievement

BARNEGAT, N.J. - Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Walters Group received five community awards and recognition for Corporate Website Excellence from The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA).  Recipients were honored for their accomplishment in the multi-family housing industry during the 21st Annual Garden State Awards ceremony held at The Hilton East Brunswick Hotel.

Two of Walters’ affordable apartment projects – Laurel Oaks Apartments and Whispering Hills Apartments – were presented with awards for Excellence in Curb Appeal - Affordable Properties category. Both properties also garnered awards in the Green Building New Construction & Retrofits category. The award acknowledges the benefits of eco-friendly design. Located in Barnegat, Laurel Oaks and Whispering Hills were built to LEED standards, making them more energy efficient than conventional non-green housing.

Stafford Preserve, a luxury apartment-rental community in Stafford Township, was presented with an Excellence in Curb Appeal award. The award recognizes properties for their beautiful and well-kept grounds.

Nominations were open to all NJAA members, member properties and associate members, with the opportunity to showcase successes in more than 40 categories.

The New Jersey Apartment Association is a non-profit organization representing multifamily developers, owners and managers throughout the state for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing quality rental housing.
