Normann Staffing Division to Help Ulster County, NY Seniors Downsize or Move

KINGSTON, N.Y. - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Normann Staffing (http://www.normannstaffing.com/), a private employment service, today announced formation of Next Step Home, a division that will help Hudson Valley adults and their families manage the emotional and physical aspects of downsizing their home or moving to a new residence.

Marmo made the announcement at the monthly meeting of the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce (http://www.ulsterchamber.org/), saying that Normann Staffing will continue as the "region's premier staffing agency" while also expanding its value to the local economy.

New Developments

"Normann Staffing and private employment agencies are already playing a different and crucial role in the nation's economic recovery," Marmo added.  Though still serving as brokers between employers and job seekers, today's agencies are also directly hiring the contractual or contingent personnel that employers need -- about 3 million full-time and part-time workers per week in the United States.

This helps employers reduce costs and risks as demand fluctuates.  "At the same time, it is a new way back to work for the unemployed," said Marmo.

"Next Step Home will also generate part-time opportunities." Next Step Home is operated by Senior Move Managers Colleen Mountford and Tom Benton. The service is accredited by the National Association of Senior Move Managers (https://www.nasmm.org/) and personnel are trained, insured and bonded, Marmo said.  Services offered include:

·        Floor plan for and repurposing of existing space

·        Hiring and overseeing contractors

·        Packing and unpacking

·        Hiring and overseeing a moving company

·        Sale, donation and disposition of goods

Job Opportunities

Marmo invited business leaders to refer their friends and relatives who are seeking work or ready for a job change. "We are seeing new opportunities for full- and part-time work in three areas: temporary; temp-to-perm and permanent employment. Even more, agencies often have positions that are not advertised in the media."

Employers like the convenience of having the staffing firm provide payroll, human relations administration and regulatory compliance, as well as supervision of individual workers, Marmo added.
