This is a day for them to see how much people care about them and that they are not disposable. It was a similar day to this that made me realize my circumstances were temporary and that I had an entire adult life that I could live as I wanted and contribute positively to society. Programs like Day of the Child give these ignored and forgotten children a ray of hope.” Who We Are: Children Uniting Nations, founded by Daphna Edwards Ziman in 1999, is a 501(C)3 not for profit organization dedicated to providing advocacy and awareness through community and academic mentoring programs for at-risk and foster youth.
