REDMOND, Wash. - Nov. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- The Bear Creek School is excited to announce two new coaches have joined our staff and will be heading our varsity basketball programs.

Tyler Mendezona or “Coach Mendo” as he is called is a graduate of Northwest University where he earned a degree in business management. While at NU, Tyler helped lead his basketball team to two straight NAIA National Tournaments, making it all the way to the Elite-8 his senior year. Tyler was a JV/varsity assistant coach at Eastside Catholic High School for one year and was the head JV coach and assistant varsity coach at King’s High School for the past two years. Coach Mendo helped King’s make it to the 1A State Championship game two years in a row. He is also the lead trainer, coach, and camp director for the Quick Handle Basketball program, where he travels around the United States training thousands of players and coaching numerous select teams.

Coach Mendo is extremely excited to be a part of the Bear Creek community and there is no doubt that he is just the right coach to lead our boys varsity basketball program, and use the gifts that God has given him to develop and transform the lives of our student-athletes. Tyler's wife Alexa also played college basketball and is an assistant coach at Northwest University.

Coach Mendo has joined the faculty as a full time P.E. teacher as well.

Jordan Harazin-Holmes is a graduate Colfax High School where she was a member of six State Championship winning basketball and volleyball teams. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University where she played basketball for the Falcons, starting in three of her four seasons. Coach Harazin was named freshman of the year and received numerous other All-League honors before graduating with a degree in history. Last year she was the assistant varsity coach at Juanita High School in Kirkland where she helped the Lady Rebels compile a school-best record of 19-4.

Coach Harazin has a deep passion for the game of basketball and coaching young ladies to be confident, intentional, and self-disciplined both on and off the court through an encouraging and enthusiastic coaching style. She lives in Maple Valley with her husband Nick and young son Cash. Coach Harazin is eager for the season to begin and thrilled to  lead the girls varsity basketball program at The Bear Creek School.
