MIAMI - Nov. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Foram Group has unveiled its permanent art installation in the lobby of 600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza. The 12-foot by 19-foot image, entitled GS600, is part of the “Genesis Series” created by award-winning Miami artists Robin Hill and James LoParo.

“We commissioned LoParo & Hill to create a unique and stunning signature piece that embodies the four classical elements of antiquity – earth, fire, air and water – in the same manner that we designed 600 Brickell and Brickell World Plaza,” said Loretta Cockrum, president and CEO of Foram Group.

GS600 is a performance art drawing project that uses photography as the medium of record. The artwork represents the coming together of humanity and the elements. The piece will anchor and showcase the 10,000-square-foot minimalist style lobby of the 40-story LEED Platinum certified tower. The Genesis Series was created along a strip of sand on Miami Beach. Photographed in low light and a long exposure, the artwork was created in real time within the camera, with minimal post-production.

“GS600 is a bold and direct comparison of the plaza’s pursuit of sustainability and global connectivity for its tenants”, said Hill. “It provides a continuous flow and balance of energy that compliments the feng shui of the space. The prominence of the element of fire, represented by the red ribbon of light, signifies fortune and prosperity in the ancient Chinese art form, and lends itself to everyone who enters the building.”

“The two-year long collaborative effort has produced a piece that completely captures the essence of the property. We are pleased to have found something that is distinct, but also compliments the unique space here at 600 Brickell,” said Tracy Story, Foram’s president of management and leasing.

About 600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza

600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza is located in the center of Miami’s downtown/financial district. The 40-story, Class-A office tower was designed by the global architecture firm RTKL and offers tenants unparalleled technology, amenities and location, with more than 600,000 square feet of rentable office space. It features a 30,000-square-foot ground-level plaza and public gathering place and ground floor retail. The 14th-floor conference center provides HD video conferencing, flexible meeting space, a wrap-around outdoor terrace, reception facilities, and a private gym with sweeping city views.

The $300-million project’s “smart building” features include central monitoring and control of air quality, temperature and lighting, resulting in a healthier, more comfortable and more secure working environment, and fully redundant electrical backup systems designed to eliminate tenants’ business interruptions and technology worries in a 24/7 world. It offers both public and secured WiFi and direct access to the world’s Internet backbone through underground, redundant fiber-optic connections linking directly to the NAP (Network Access Point) of the Americas less than one mile away. 600 Brickell is the first “Class A” office building of this magnitude to be ISO 27001 Certified, the internationally accepted benchmark for information security. As a Cisco Connected Commercial Office Building in partnership with Cisco Systems, Inc., 600 Brickell offers a growing suite of data, voice, video and security solutions for tenants over one IP network, and an on-site Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team.

In addition, 600 Brickell is one of a handful of Class-A office buildings in the world, and the first in Florida, to be certified LEED Platinum, the highest level available from the U.S. Green Building Council. 600 Brickell is designed to minimize its carbon footprint. About the Artists - http://www.loparoandhill.com

Robin Hill straddles the boundaries between art, architecture and design by using photography as his medium of choice. Hill has had photographs displayed at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and Bilbao. Architecture is the corner stone of his work. Hill likes to view the three legs of his work, architecture, art and design, as a metaphorical tripod with a camera mounted on top bringing those disciplines together into a coherent singularity.

James LoParo is known for his bas-relief frescoes that explore the duality of man. LoParo began experimenting with fresco in 1982 with the help of his father and uncle who were commercial plasterers. By combining 'buon fresco' techniques with Maya Indian techniques, he developed a signature work process that is both additive and reductive. LoParo's exhibition history began in Cleveland, Ohio in 1989, followed by exhibitions in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Miami.
