Follow on Google News | Bogart Bay To Open A Sustainable Salt Water Shrimp Nursery in MissouriKickstarter Fundraising Campaign to Launch November 15, 2014
By: Bogart Bay Shrimp Company Bogart Bay Shrimp Company proposes to be the first fully recirculating, sustainable salt water shrimp operation in Missouri. Their goal is to produce shrimp that is grown responsibly and according to nature's own design, using no chemicals, steroids or hormones. Shrimp will be available for purchase year round, either shipped locally or purchased live from their farm in Urich, Missouri. After surviving Stage IV Esophageal Cancer, founder Craig Pattison decided it was important for him and his family to “eat right, grow good food and show the world how to do it.” This life-changing epiphany, along with a gap in the Midwest market place for fresh, salt water shrimp, sparked the concept of Bogart Bay Shrimp Company. Bogart Bay Shrimp Company will launch a Kickstarter campaign on November 15th in an effort to remind everyone that “friends don’t let friends eat imported shrimp,” and to raise the money necessary to bring fresh salt water shrimp to Missouri. All funds will be used to adapt the building that will house the operation and to purchase the necessary equipment to raise the shrimp. Their goal is to raise $250,000 by December 28, 2014. To learn more about Bogart Bay Shrimp Company and their passion for raising clean, healthy, salt water shrimp in Missouri, you can review their website at www.bogartbay.com and their Kickstarter campaign page as of November 15th. Mr. Pattison is available for interview by appointment. End
