Cedaron Connect is First Rehab EMR to Achieve Meaningful Use Stage 2 Certification

Connect continues its history of meeting each Medicare Compliance needs

DAVIS, Calif. - Nov. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Cedaron Medical announced today that Connect Version 2.5 received Modular EHR (Ambulatory) Compliance Certification to meet Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements.  Connect, a complete outpatient rehabilitation EMR solution that includes scheduling and outcomes reporting, is the first rehab EMR solution to complete this arduous process that required the software to successfully pass rigorous and detailed tests.

“Investing in development to support meaningful use was an important commitment we made to Connect’s users,” said Karen Bond, President & CEO. “The 2015 Connect Version 2.5 certification emphasizes interoperability. These steps, along with our unique tools to support measurement-based care, can enable rehabilitation therapists and other caretakers to collaborate treatment providers with greater ease. The result of this can be better clinical outcomes for patients across the board.”

Drummond Group’s ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology – a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.

“Leveraging information technology for healthcare initiatives provides the opportunity to deliver a high-level quality of care and efficiency which essentially benefits and enhances the overall patient experience,” says Rik Drummond, CEO of the Drummond Group Inc. “We have been testing software for more than a decade and will continue to provide our extensive experience testing and certifying complex systems for multiple industries, as well as ensuring interoperability and security remain key components in the growing healthcare industry.”

Connect 2014 is compliant and has been certified* by Drummond Group, an ONC-ACB in accordance, with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
