EVERETT, Wash. - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- All Aboard, a non-profit agency located in Everett, WA, provides recreational, social, and educational activities for adults with special needs in Snohomish county.  Currently, more than 250 special needs adults participate in their daily activities and programs!

For most of those living with a developmental disability, options are limited.  Many receive only a small income, live in group homes, and need daily assistance by a caregiver.  Parents and guardians are faced with the huge responsibility of finding a way to fulfill the need for those who don’t fit into the “norm” and have become isolated with nothing to do.  “Matthew’s” story is a typical example of what they face each day!  “In the morning when I wake up, I make my bed very, very slowly because after that I have nothing else to do!”

Now faced with so many wanting to participate, All Aboard must find a larger facility in order to continue to provide these life-changing services.  They are currently leasing an aging building with limited space, non-accessible wheelchair entries, undersize classrooms, minimal storage, and insufficient bathroom facilities.

During the last two years, All Aboard staff and participants have been busy holding bake sales, craft fairs, car washes, and art shows trying to build up their capital fund.  But in order to reach their goal, they will need the support of the community!

So to coincide with Giving Tuesday, a “global giving day” occurring on December 2, 2014, All Aboard is launching an online crowdfunding campaign to raise the needed funds.
