A True Jewel, Inc. 2nd Annual Social/Fundraiser Event

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- A True Jewel, Inc. celebrates another year of serving caregivers of loved ones with special needs with a fundraiser/social event scheduled for Sunday, December 7th, 3PM, at Cypress Creek Country Club in Boynton Beach. This will be a festive time of great music, food, and inspiration.

Kathi Deakyne, Founder, President, and Director of Clinical Services at Just for Kids Inc will be the keynote speaker. Just for Kids provides in home and group home services for medically challenged children and young adults.

A True Jewel, Inc. provides support, training, and services to women who care for children or adults with disabilities. The core values of A True Jewel, Inc. are integrity, empathy, and excellence.

Research shows that some caregivers have experienced chronic stress comparable to that of a combat soldier. "Caregivers need to preserve their physical and emotional health.  Yet, self-care can be costly for many of them; financial concerns can lead to even more stress", says Founder and Executive Director, Dr. S'rah Yisrael.

Since its inception in January 2013, women have reportedly felt more empowered and less stressed. One caregiver, Lakisha Foxworth states, "A True Jewel for me was an answer to prayer. I was seeking support, an outlet, understanding as I try to navigate through unchartered territory, helping my developmental disabled younger brother gain independence and accomplish his dreams."
