Major David Chartier Joins R2 Associates As Senior Vice President, Military Programs

MORRISTOWN, N.J. - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Morristown, NJ, November 11, 2014, – Today, R2 Associates, LLC, announced that U.S. Army Major David Chartier has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, Military Programs. His responsibilities include strategic planning, client support, and business development.

Prior to joining R2, Major Chartier served as an Assistant Director of Military Personnel Policy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs (Manpower and Personnel) at the Pentagon.  Along with his duties as Military Aide for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for this office, Dave was responsible for directing the signature approval process for all new Officer appointments for the U.S. Reserve Forces.

Prior to working at the Pentagon, Major Chartier served as the Base Commander at Combat Outpost Bala Hissar, Kabul, Afghanistan.  Among his efforts in Kabul were the building of an elementary school and the development of the training program for the Afghan Army’s Quick Reaction Forces throughout the country.  Prior to this deployment, Dave served three years at the National Guard Bureau in the Army National Guard Operations Division and Mobilization Readiness Division.  His assignments included Action Officer for Strategic Initiatives and Program Manager for the Army Guard’s Joint Assessment effort.

Major Chartier’s Army career spans over 27 years and includes time in the Army National Guard and Army Reserve.  He is currently a member of the Washington DC Army National Guard.
