Cairns Public Relations Consultancy Voted Best By Peers

CAIRNS, Australia - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- A Cairns public relations company owned by Tanya Snelling has received top honours at the Queensland Multi Media Awards on Saturday night.

Receiving the award for Best Advertising Campaign Across All Media for her work on Port Douglas Carnivale, Tanya Snelling said it was a career highlight to be standing on stage following in the steps of many great past recipients.

Ms Snelling said her work on Port Douglas Carnivale was multi-faceted covering digital, multi-media, print, television, social media and radio. "The primary objective of the Port Douglas Carnivale campaign is to market the destination.

“No stone is left unturned in our efforts to highlight Port Douglas, the range of events that take place over the 10-day festival as well as the amazing things that can be experienced while visiting the region.

“To be recognised so early in my career is truly a great honour. It was an incredibly special night. Three years ago I had the opportunity to take on a business that had been established by Mia Lacy for more than 20 years - Libra Communications.

"Today the business has continued to grow and I am grateful for the opportunities and wonderful clients I have been blessed to work with."

Ms Snelling also took the opportunity to thank the Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree (TPDD) as well as the organisers behind the Queensland Multi Media Awards and its sponsors who help make the event happen each year.

"To work with such highly respected names such as Carnivale and TPDD is incredibly special and honestly, a lot of fun. The Queensland Multi Media Awards is also a fantastic platform for journalists and media professionals to come together and share in our highs. Taking home another award, Strategic PR was also the recipient of the Best Tourism Film / TV Campaign in a joint award with WIN TV Cairns production manager Andre Heise and Tim Petrie of T.V.I.P.

"This was a combined effort together with two other very talented individuals. We love making videos at the Village and Tim is fantastic at bringing these to life while Andre is the genius behind our TV commercials."
