PERTH, Scotland - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- One of Inveralmond Brewery’s award winning Brewing team has travelled to Cornwall to join forces with a group of other Celtic brewers in a bid to celebrate their Celtic connections the best way they know how – by creating a beer fit for a festival.

Brewers from the five Celtic corners of the world were invited to St Austell Brewery after head brewer Roger Ryman asked for their help in creating the Celtic Collaboration beer to celebrate the shared Celtic identity of the different regions. Fergus Clark, founder of Inveralmond Brewery, represented Scotland’s Celtic offering in contribution to the tasty brew which is to be launched at this year’s Celtic Beer Festival in St Austell, the proceed of which are donated to the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust .

Each brewer brought ingredients from their region to flavour the beer. Fergus brought the Scottish Rowan berries, Ireland added shamrock, France brought wild garlic and Wales added apples, while Cornwall added some saffron. All the ingredients created a heady beer that is likely to be very warmly received at this month’s festival.

Fergus Clark, Managing Director of Inveralmond Brewery, said:

“It is a great opportunity to collaborate with some of the world’s leading Celtic brewers and share our knowledge of craft beer, as well as our diverse cultures with each other. The beer we’ve created tastes phenomenal and it is great to know that it will be launched and enjoyed at this year’s Celtic Beer Festival. The whole team at Inveralmond Brewery are delighted to have been able to represent the Scottish Celtic connection.”

Beer enthusiasts from across the country will descend upon St Austell on Saturday 22nd November for the all-day festival, which will showcase more than 130 different ales, stouts and lagers.

Roger Ryman, head brewer at St Austell Brewery, added: “It was a great honour to be joined by such respected brewers to help me brew this new Celtic Collaboration beer. We have all added an ingredient to give the beer a unique provenance so it is a real celebration of our Celtic heritage, and it is especially poignant that we will be able to launch the finished product at this year’s Celtic Beer Festival.”
