SHELTON, Conn. - Nov. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- For the second time this year, SecureRF Corporation, a leading provider of security to the Internet of Things, was recognized for delivering the most advanced anti-counterfeiting solutions for high-value products in both the commercial and defense sectors.

On November 3, The Security Innovation Network (SINET) announced SecureRF is among its “Top 16 Emerging Cybersecurity Companies,” which are comprised of those firms that “identified cutting-edge technologies to address Cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.” This follows a Forbes’ article in July that recognized SecureRF as one of the “Ten Most Influential Internet of Things Companies,” alongside such leaders as Apple, Google, Microsoft and Intel.

Headquartered in Shelton, CT, SecureRF developed the world’s first linear-in-time security protocols designed to protect the Internet of Things. Their methods provide identification, authentication and data protection for security-sensitive markets, including Defense, Homeland Security, the Smart Grid, as well as brand protection for high-value supply chains such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, liquor, and fashion.

“With the explosion of the Internet of Things, security and privacy are critical components for consumer and commercial adoption.” Louis M. Parks, CEO of SecureRF, continued, “We are focused on delivering a strong, highly secure solution to the digital entities that make up the Internet of Things, particularly in low- or no-power environments.”

The company’s patented security methods provide the smallest and fastest solutions to small or embedded computing platforms where little or no security currently exists. These resource-constrained environments can be found in wireless sensors, Smart Grid control systems and meters, Near Field Communications (NFC), RFID, Smart Cards, machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, non-traditional payment systems, and other devices that are part of the Internet of Things.

To select the “SINET 16” honorees, a panel of 60 security experts representing government, academia and the private sector considered applications from 180 international companies. SINET characterized this as the most competitive pool in its six years of choosing companies that advanced Cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration. The work of the 16 selected companies will be showcased on December 3-4 at The National Press Club in Washington, DC.
