Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone Veterans Day event honors those who served

TYRONE, Pa. - Nov. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- A Veterans Day program at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone will honor residents of the senior living community who served their country.

    SouthernCare Hospice of Altoona will participate in the 2 p.m. event on Tuesday by presenting certificates and pins to the veterans. SouthernCare Marketing Director Stevie Rutherford will be involved in the presentation. The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center also will participate, and Tyrone Mayor William Fink will be a special guest.

    “Our veterans are such an important part of our community and we thank them for their service to our country,” said Vienna Rice, Activities Coordinator at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. “These men and women sacrificed so much so that we may live free and enjoy the liberties you find only in the United States of America.”

    Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone veterans include:

·         William Morath, U.S. Army

·         Laurie Rhoads, U.S. Army

·         Rufino Sanchez, U.S. Navy

·         Richard Ormsby, U.S. Navy
